Subject: Approve First Amendment to the Contract between County of Lake and Lake Family Resource Center for Cal-Learn Teen Parenting Services in the amount of $50,000 for the term of July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 and authorize the Chair to sign.

Executive Summary:
On June 25, 2019, your Board approved the contract between Lake County Department of Social Services (LCDSS) and Lake Family Resource Center (LFRC) for the Cal-Learn program funded by the California Department of Social Services. LCDSS received an increase in the Cal-Learn allocation for the term of July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. This amendment is necessary to adjust the current contract to reflect the increase in funding. The Contract is being increased by $11,101 for a total not to exceed amount of $50,000. LFRC provides services to help meet the overall goal that teen parents will graduate from high school or an equivalent with skills and knowledge to move toward self-sufficiency, including demonstrating nurturing parenting, a healthy lifestyle, and family stability. As of the third Quarter of fiscal year 2019-2020, the Cal-Learn program has served a total of twelve clients, averaging five clients per month.
