Subject: Consideration of Resolution to Initiate Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance to Amend Regulations and Development Standards for Commercial Cannabis Cultivation

Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):

Based on the discussion that the Board of Supervisors had on May 5, 2020 regarding acre changes and setback changes, I am bringing back potential changes to the board to approve these potential changes be sent to the Planning Commission for review. Director De Leon suggested that this could be reviewed on May 28, 2020 during the final Planning Commission meeting of the month. If approved today to send this to the Planning Commission, it would be well within the 10 day noticing period required in order for this item to be heard at the Planning Commission.

Summary of potential changes:
- Changes in acre and setback from property lines for indoor grows.
- Changes in setbacks from public lands from 1000 feet to 200 feet.
- Changes in setbacks from waterways to match state water board standards.
