Subject:                     Approve Second Amendment to Lease Agreement between County of Lake and Gary Weiser and Shelly Weiser for $15,000 per fiscal year, from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2025, for the property located at 4477 Moss Avenue, Unit C, in Clearlake and authorize the Chair to sign.

 

Executive Summary:

Lake County Department of Social Services (LCDSS) is amending the Lease Agreement with Gary Weiser and Shelly Weiser for the office space located at 4477 Moss Avenue, Unit C, in Clearlake to extend the Lease term for five (5) years. LCDSS has rented this space since 2008 and it currently houses the Welfare Fraud Investigation operation under contract with Lake County Probation. This Amendment increases the monthly rent by $122.88 and the monthly utility payment by $2.50 for a total cost of $1,250 per month. An older version of this Amendment appeared on an earlier agenda, however that version was pulled, and revisions were made to clarify the effective date of the increase as July 1, 2020.
