Subject: Approve (a) Purchase of vehicle equipment from Precision Wireless in the amount of $67,148.97 and installation costs in the amount of $30,024.33 from the Sheriff/Pursuit Replacement Budget Unit 2217, Object Code 28.30; and (b) Authorize the Sheriff/Coroner or his designee to issue purchase orders for said purchases
Executive Summary:
On June 9, 2020, Your Board authorized the purchase of seven (7) Ford Explorer pursuit vehicles for use by the Sheriff’s Department.
An informal bid for vehicle equipment was solicited by Captain Chris Chwialkowski. Two vendors submitted bids. Lehr and Precision Wireless, with Lehr submitting the low bid. The local vendor preference was implemented in this case which allows the local vendor be awarded the bid. This purchase will be paid out of the Sheriff/Pursuit Vehicle Replacement Budget 2217/28.30.
