Subject: Approve Contract between County of Lake and Adventist Health for the provision of Out Stationed Eligibility Specialists for the donation amount of $70,276.80 per fiscal year from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023, and authorize the Chair to sign.
Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
Lake County Department of Social Services (LCDSS) has provided the on-site presence of two Eligibility Specialists to process Medi-Cal and County Medical Services Program applications at Adventist Health Clear Lake since 1993. This arrangement has been of great benefit to the citizens of Lake County by providing convenient access to apply for health coverage and leading to an improvement in the overall health of the community. This arrangement has also benefited Adventist Health by assisting uninsured patients in securing health coverage at the time they receive care. In return, Adventist Health makes a monthly donation of $5,856.40, for a total of $70,276.80 per fiscal year. We look forward to continuing to provide these services to Adventist Health and the community.
