Subject: Request for Approval of Amended Agreement No. 18-0288 with the State of California, Department of Food and Agriculture for Reimbursement for Commercial Cannabis Cultivation Compliance Inspections for Fiscal Years February 2019 through June 2021

Executive Summary:

I would like to ask your Board to adopt the attached resolution approving an amended agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for commercial cannabis cultivation compliance inspections for February 2019 through June 30, 2021.

This inspection program reimburses the County Agricultural Commissioner $400 per inspection to ensure that licensed commercial cannabis growers are complying with state license requirements. The contract maximum is $7,000 so the number of inspections is limited to seventeen. These inspections will be done in association with routine pesticide inspections. The county only notes non- compliances for the CDFA to act on. We can schedule the inspections at our discretion.

Please sign two copies of the agreement.
