Subject: Approve Award of Bid for the Bartlett Springs Road at Cache Creek Bridge Rehabilitation Project, Bid No. 20-09, Federal Aid project No. BRLO-5914(092) to Techno Coatings, Inc of Anaheim, CA, in the Amount of $685,000 and Authorize the Chair to sign.
Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
The Purchasing Department publicly opened bids for the subject project on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. Five (5) bids were received and the apparent lowest responsible bidder was Techno Coatings, Inc., of Anaheim, CA. Please refer to the attached bid tabulation.
The project is fully funded from the Federal Highway Bridge Program (HBP) and Toll Credits. The scope of the project is the rehabilitation (painting) of the Bartlett Springs Road Bridge at Cache Creek Bridge.
Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors award the Contract for the Bartlett Springs Road at Cache Creek Bridge Rehabilitation Project to Techno Coatings, Inc. in the amount of $685,000.00 and authorize the Chair to execute the Agreement and execute the attached Notice of Award.
