Subject: Request for Approval of Agreement No. 20-0286-000-SG with California Department of Food and Agriculture for compliance with the Bee Safe Program in the Amount of $4,178.56 for period July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021


Executive Summary:

I would like to ask the Board to adopt the attached Resolution approving the Agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for the Bee Safe Program in Lake County from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.
The agreement amount is $4,178.56.

The Bee Safe Program Agreement includes reimbursement for apiary registrations, training, and outreach, as well as other activities that are designed to protect bees and beekeepers from possible pesticide impacts.

Should the board adopt this resolution, please have the chair sign and return one copy of the agreement, one copy of the board resolution and return them to the Department of Agriculture for processing. A signed complete copy will be returned for your records.
