To: The Honorable Moke Simon, Chair, Lake County Board of Supervisors

From: Crystal Markytan, Social Services Director

Subject: Approve agreement between County of Lake and Lake Family Resource Center for Domestic Violence Services, in the amount of $25,000 per fiscal year from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2022; and authorize the Chair to sign.

Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
Lake Family Resource Center (LFRC) is currently contracted with Lake County Department of Social Services to provide domestic violence services for CalWORKs recipients and their families. LFRC provides essential services to domestic violence victims, including shelter, counseling, and referrals to other appropriate agencies. During fiscal year 2019-2020, thirty Welfare-To-Work clients received services. Since all services provided are confidential, it is possible additional clients were served as well. Furthermore, the domestic violence services provided by LFRC are available to anyone in the community, and not exclusive to CalWORKs recipients.

Funding for this contract is derived from the CalWORKs single allocation.
