Subject: (Sitting as the Lake County Sanitation District, Board of Directors) Approve agreement with California Exterminators Alliance for herbicide/pesticide application in the amount of $29,675 through June 30, 2021, and authorized the Chair to sign.

Executive Summary: Lake County Special Districts has a need to contract with an herbicide/pesticide applicator to maintain its many facilities throughout the District in a weed and pest free condition. The District annually solicits bids from qualified, licensed contractors to perform the work. On July 1, 2020 the District advertised for services to be provided for the CSAs we manage, Kelseyville County Water Works District #3 (KCWWD#3) and Lake County Sanitation District. Bids were due on July 24, 2020. Two bids were received and California Exterminators Alliance was the low bidder (bid tabulation attached). The bid was structured such that the award was based on the total price of services for all three entities, however due to the independent legal nature of the entities, three separate contracts are required. The contract amounts for the County of behalf of the CSAs and KCWWD#3 are within the signing authority of the Special Districts Administrator and have been executed at that level. The bid price for Lake County Sanitation District (LACOSAN) responsibility area is $29,675.00 which exceeds the Administrator's signing authority and has been presented here for your consideration.

This is a reoccurring annual cost which is let for bid each fiscal year. As a reoccurring cost it has been budgeted for.
