PROCLAMATION


COMMENDING JERRY PFANN ON HIS RETIREMENT


WHEREAS, Jerry Pfann began his career in Law Enforcement as a Reserve Police Officer on May 15th, 1995 with the Lakeport Police Department and;


WHEREAS, Jerry continued his Law Enforcement career with the Lake County Sheriff's Office on March 10th, 1997, working as a Correctional Officer and;


WHEREAS, on June 9th, 1997, Jerry was promoted to the rank of Deputy Sheriff and;


WHEREAS, on November 29th, 1997, Jerry completed a POST Field Training Officer course and was subsequently assigned to a patrol shift as a solo deputy and;


WHEREAS, on July 7th, 1998, Jerry received his POST Basic Certificate and,


WHEREAS, on January 7th, 2001, Jerry accepted an assignment as a Welfare Fraud Investigator and;


WHEREAS, on July 31st, 2001 Jerry received his POST Intermediate Certificate and;


WHEREAS, on March 3rd, 2003, Jerry accepted an assignment as a Detective working in the Investigations Bureau and;


WHEREAS, on April 2nd, 2006, Jerry accepted an assignment as a Crime Scene Investigator and Property/Evidence Manager and;


WHEREAS, on July 21st, 2006 Jerry received his POST Advanced Certificate and;


WHEREAS, on July 16th, 2012, Jerry was assigned back to the Investigations Bureau, where he remained until his retirement and;


WHEREAS, after dedicating 23 years as a career law enforcement officer with the Lake County Sheriff's Office and the County of Lake, Jerry has demonstrated extraordinary dedication, compassion and devotion to his profession and to his peers.
