Subject: Consideration of Amendment One to the Agreement between the County of Lake and the Kelseyville Motel for COVID-19 SSTU Emergency Isolation Housing and authorize the Board Chair to sign

Executive Summary:
Kelseyville Motel has contracted with Lake County to provide a block of rooms available for residents who are subject to quarantine and/or isolation orders due to COVID-19, and may not have a safe place to shelter. The original Kelseyville Motel Agreement was for a 5-room block with a rate of $83.00 per night, plus tax for 8 weeks.

This First Amendment to this Agreement will extend the term of this occupancy agreement, and shall continue month to month for a term not to exceed four (4) months; or the period of exigent or emergency circumstances as may be established by local, state or federal proclamation, with such rights of termination as may be hereinafter expressly set forth; whichever is shorter." This cost has been budgeted through a grant from state funds awarded for COVID-19 crisis response.

For the term of this Agreement, the COUNTY agrees to pay OWNER the sum of $83.00 per night per night, plus tax, during the term of this occupancy agreement. In no case shall the total amount payable under this Agreement exceed $60,000 (sixty thousand dollars)."
