Subject: Approve Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification between the County of Lake Sheriff's Department and the US Department of Justice; and authorize the Sheriff and Chairman to sign.

Executive Summary: The Lake County Sheriff's Department participates in the Equitable Sharing program with the US Department of Justice. This program monitors federally seized monies, referred to as asset forfeitures. A report of all receipts and expenditures is required to be submitted after the close of the fiscal year. Attached for your Board's approval is the annual submission of the Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification for the period ending June 30, 2020.

Approval of the Equitable Sharing agreement allows Lake County to be eligible for asset forfeiture proceeds. These monies are used primarily for training purposes.

No federal asset forfeiture monies were received during the 2019/20 fiscal year.
