Subject: Consideration of the Award of Bid No. 20-17 for the Hill Road Correctional Facility Phase II Reroof Project in the amount of $389,757 to Westech Roofing, Inc.; and authorize the Chair to sign the Agreement and Notice of Award
Executive Summary:
The County publicly opened bids for the subject project on Thursday, September 17, 2020. Eight (8) bids were received and the apparent lowest responsible bidder was Westech Roofing, Inc. Please refer to the attached bid tabulation. A local workforce participation discount was included in the project specifications. No local contractors bid on the project.
The project is funded through Budget Unit 1778, Capital Projects, and the total cost - to include roofing materials to be purchased through a separate CMAS contract - is within the estimate of probable costs.
Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors award the Contract for the Hill Road Correctional Facility Phase II Reroof Project to Westech Roofing, Inc. in the amount of $389,757.00 and authorize the Chair to sign the Agreement and the Notice of Award
