Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
Attached for your Board's consideration and approval is the annual Joint Funding Agreement (JFA) between the Lake County Watershed Protection District and the USGS.
The JFA provides funding for the operation and maintenance of the stream flow gage station on Kelsey Creek near Kelseyville for the period of November 1, 2018 to September 30,2021. The station provides real-time and historical data that are critical during floods and for floodplain planning.
The Water Resources Department cooperates with USGS to provide annual funding for maintenance of the gauge station. This is a budgeted expense funded through BU 8109. The cost share for renewal of the annual agreement is:
Water Resources Department $14,430
USGS $ 7,340
