Memorandum

Date: December 1, 2020

To: The Honorable Moke Simon, Chair, Lake County Board of Supervisors

From: Jesus Salmeron, Deputy Administrator-Fiscal
Jan Coppinger, Special Districts Administrator

Subject: Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement between County of Lake on Behalf of CSA #21 North Lakeport Water System and Yolo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District extending the agreement for an additional two-year term.

Executive Summary:
On June 8, 1990 CSA #21 entered an agreement with Yolo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (YCFCWCD) that would expire on its own terms on December 31, 2020. Yolo County Flood Control has notified CSA #21 that it desires to work with CSA #21 to negotiate a revised long-term water supply agreement between Yolo County Flood Control and CSA #21. Therefore, both parties do not desire to renew the Agreement for a successive ten-year term under Section 12 of the Agreement. Yolo County Flood Control and Special Districts have agreed to extend the Agreement for an additional two-year term to allow YCFCWCD and County Service Area #21 to negotiate a long-term water supply agreement.
