Subject: (a) Approve Letter of Agreement between the Lake County Sheriff's Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) in the amount of $275,000 for the period October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021; and (b) authorize Sheriff to sign the Agreement and (c) authorize the Chairman to sign Workplace Certifications and Grant Assurances
Executive Summary: The Sheriff's office requests approval of the Drug Enforcement Administration Marijuana Eradication Agreement for federal fiscal year 2020/21. This agreement is in the amount of $275,000. These funds are allocated in the FY2020/21 Sheriff/Marijuana budget request for Budget Unit 2203 in the amount of $210,000. An adjustment will be made during the mid-year budget review.
