Subject:                     Approve Amendment to the Lease Agreement between the County of Lake and the Senate Rules Committee, California Legislature for a District Satellite Office

 

Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):

In 2015 the County of Lake entered into a lease agreement with the California State Senate Rules Committee, California Legislature for the establishment of a district satellite office for Senator Mike McGuire at the County-owned building at 885 Lakeport Blvd (a.k.a. Agricultural Building). On July 1, 2017 the lease was amended to extend the term through December 30, 2020. The Senate Rules Committee now desires to amend the lease to extend the term, at the same location.

 

The proposed amendment will extend the term of the agreement to February 28, 2023. The lease agreement requires a $58/month rent payment. Revenue from the lease is included in the Buildings & Grounds budget.
