Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
The Lake County Health Services Department's Epidemiologist produces reports providing data regarding the distribution of COVID-19 cases within Lake County. Recently released reports identified that the Latino Population is experiencing a disproportionately higher rate of COVID-19 infections. Latinos make up about 22% of the county population, but more than 43% of COVID-19 cases. On December 1, 2020, Lake County Health Services issued a Request for Proposals #LCHS 20-001 Prevention, Detection and Support: A Lake County COVID-19 Initiative for Latino-Focused Outreach. The full body of work under this award encompasses outreach and community engagement, public health education and information, identification and implementation of strategies to increase testing and facilitate vaccination efforts, and provide resources and support for people and families needing to isolate or quarantine. The overall goal of this RFP is to prevent new COVID-19 infections and reduce the daily case rate among Latino residents.
Proposals were solicited publically and included posting to the Lake County Bids & RFP Webpage. One proposal was received from the following organization:
