Memorandum
Date: February 23, 2021
To: The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors
From: Bruno Sabatier, Chair, District 4 Supervisor
Subject: (a) Review of Resolution No. 2021-11 Authorizing Temporary Reduction
of In-Person Delivery of County Services to the Public due to COVID-19 Pandemic Conditions; and (b) Consideration of Resolution Amending Resolution No. 2021-11 Authorizing Temporary Reduction of In-Person Delivery of County Services to the Public due to COVID-19 Pandemic Conditions
Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
On January 19th, our Board adopted Resolution No. 2021-11 Authorizing Temporary Reduction
of In-Person Delivery of County Services to the Public due to COVID-19 Pandemic Conditions, directing that it be reviewed, and as necessary, amended no less than once every thirty days until pandemic conditions improve to the extent that regular service delivery can be restored.
On February 9th, we reviewed the resolution and made no changes to it. That same date, we also reviewed our action for temporary closure of the Board of Supervisors chambers for in-person meetings and we determined that reopening of the chambers would follow Lake County’s movement back into Red Tier status according to the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy during the pandemic crisis response.
I recommend our Board amend Resolution No. 2021-11 to clarify that the Red Tier status will prompt resumption of in-person delivery of County services to the public.
