Memorandum
Date: March 8, 2021
To: The Honorable Bruno Sabatier, Chair, Lake County Board of Supervisors
From: Susan Krones, District Attorney
Subject: A) Authorize the District Attorney / Assistant Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order for $6,662.55 to L.C. Action Police Supply for eight (8) Glock duty weapons; and
B) Approve Budget Transfer in Budget Unit 2110, District Attorney Department to Object Code 62-74, to purchase duty weapons for District Attorney Investigators

Not having a flashlight at the ready when going into an unexpected and unknown situation is potentially hazardous for the Investigator.
There are adequate funds to make this purchase. The attached Budget Transfer will shift monies from Inventory (which is where the duty weapons were budgeted to) to the Capital Assets account, Other Equipment, per the Auditor-Controller's guidance. Glock authorizes only two vendors to sell firearms to California law enforcement agencies. We received quotes from both vendors for exactly the sam...
