Subject: Approval of Utility Agreement between the County of Lake and Lower Lake County Waterworks District No. 1 for the Relocation of a Water Main on the Clayton Creek Road at Clayton Creek Bridge Replacement Project; Bid No. 20-10; Federal Aid Project No: BRLO-5914(077)

Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):

Construction of the new Clayton Creek Bridge began last year. A water main within the limits of the project was required to be relocated to accommodate the project. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funding requirements dictate that a utility agreement be developed between the local agency and the utility company that addresses such issues as future maintenance responsibilities. Attached for the Boards review and approval is the agreement with Lower Lake County Waterworks District No. 1 to relocate said water main.

The project is fully funded from the Federal Highway Bridge Program (HBP) and Toll Credits. The scope of the project is the replacement of the Clayton Creek Road Bridge over Clayton Creek near Lower Lake, CA.

Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the utility agreement between the County of Lake and the Lower Lake County Water Works Dist. No. 1 and authorize the Chair to execute the Agreement and execute the attached agreement.
