Subject: (a) Approve Purchase of one (1) 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 Crew 4x4 from Matt Mazzei Chevrolet in the Amount of $37,958.49 from the Sheriff/Pursuit Replacement Budget Unit 2217, Object Code 62.72 and (b) authorize the Sheriff or his designee to sign the Purchase Order.
Executive Summary:
The Sheriff's Department is requesting Your Boards' approval to purchase one - 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 Crew 4x4 vehicle.
Vehicle quotes were requested from Matt Mazzei, Hoblit, Thurston and Folsom Chevrolet.
A copy of the bid specifications and quotes are attached for your review Folsom Chevrolet bid on a 3500, as a 2500 was not available. Thurston was only able to special order and would have caused extended delays due to their backlog.
Hoblit - $38,266.37
Folsom - $43,775.30 (did not meet bid specifications)
Mazzei - $37,958.49
Thurston - no bid
We are asking that you award the bid to Matt Mazzei Chevrolet in the amount of $37,958.49 and authorize the Sheriff/Coroner or his designee to issue a purchase order.
There are sufficient funds in the Sheriff/Pursuit Vehicle Replacement budget 2217, object code 62.72 to complete this purchase.
