Executive Summary:

The County of Lake, Public Health Services Division is requesting Board approval to designate the week of April 5-11, 2021 as Public Health Week. 

 

The first week in April is National Public Health Week which is part of the American Public Health Association’s annual celebration of the role of public health in communities.  Since 1995, communities around the country have celebrated National Public Health Week each April to draw attention to the need to help communities promote health, prevent illness and educate on disaster preparedness to improve health.  It is celebrated by focusing attention on issues that promote heath, wellness and safety across the country.
