Subject:                     Ratify U.S. Department of the Treasury Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds and Assurances of Compliance with Civil Rights Recovery Funds, as necessary for release of of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 funding to Lake County

 

Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):

 

On May 17, 2021, I signed two form necessary to prompt release of American Rescue Plan Act

(ARPA) of 2021 funding, the U.S. Department of the Treasury Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal

Recovery Funds and the Assurances of Compliance with Civil Rights Recovery Funds.  By

signing and submitting these forms, Lake County will be advanced half of its ARPA allocation

very shortly with the second half to be allocated one year later.

 

As your Board is aware, Chairman Sabatier has expanded the focus of your Board’s CARES Act

ad hoc committee to also plan for the use of ARPA funds and I anticipate future discussions with

and decision making by the full Board in that regard.
