Subject: Consideration of Second Quarter Report from Economic Development Task Force
Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
On August 11, 2020, your Board approved formation of your Economic Development Task Force (EDTF), appointing two Supervisors to serve along with the Assessor Recorder, the DPW/WR/CDD Director, the Special Districts Administrator and myself. Other department heads and staff were invited to EDTF discussions as needed, based on topic area. The EDTF began meeting in early October 2020 and presented its first quarter report on January 26, 2021. Exploratory meetings continued over the second quarter and the EDTF further discussed the following areas:
? Electronic payments (Chairperson Bruno Sabatier; CAO Carol Huchingson)
? Paper Subdivisions (Chairperson Bruno Sabatier, Assessor-Recorder Rich Ford)
? Full-Circle Project for Infrastructure Growth and Capacity (Supervisor Moke Simon, Special Districts Director Scott Harter, Assessor-Recorder Rich Ford)
? Updating General and Area Plans; Development of a Unified Development Ordinance, Streamlining Permitting (Community Development Director Scott DeLeon, ACAO Susan Parker, and former CDD Deputy Director Toccarra Thomas)
? Housing (Chairperson Bruno Sabatier, CAO Carol Huchingson, ACAO Susan Parker, and former CDD Deputy Director Toccarra Thomas)
