Date:                                          June 22, 2021

To:                                          The Honorable Bruno Sabatier, Chair, Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Scott De Leon, Water Resources Director

Subject:                     Request to waive 900-hour limit for Extra-Help Field Worker Austin Pratt.

Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):

The Water Resources Department is requesting the approval to exceed the 900 hour extra help limit for Austin Pratt, Field Worker III. His hours are not to exceed 960.

Austin provides support for our Stormwater Program, specifically our Storm Drain Marker Project. This project includes the installation and mapping of drain markers at various locations around the county, as well as development of water quality education material.  This position is fully funded through an interdepartmental contribution from the Fish & Wildlife committee. We feel it would be to the county’s benefit to extend Austin’s hours in order to continue his work on these project.
