SUBJECT: Approve Addendum 2 to Trinity Food Services Agreement between Trinity Services Group and Lake County for the implementation of a meal takeout program and Authorize the Chairman to Sign
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On June 28, 2016, the County entered into an agreement with Trinity Services Group for the supervision of inmate labor performing the duties of food preparation at the Lake County Jail/Hill Road Facility.
This addendum to the food services agreement is to be effective June 12, 2021. Trinity Services will be allowed to sell takeout meals to incarcerated inmates at the Jail Facility at the discretion of the Sheriff. Any Commission received from these sales shall be deposited into the Sheriff/Inmate Welfare Fund budget 2215. These funds are expended by the Sheriff primarily for the benefit, education and welfare of the inmates confined within the jail.
