Subject: Approve the First Amendment to 2019 Agreement Between the City of Clearlake, City of Lakeport and the County of Lake Relative to Operation of a Local Public, Educational, Governmental (PEG) Cable Television Channel, extending the term through June 30, 2023

Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
As your Board is aware, County and the Cities of Clearlake and Lakeport entered into an Agreement to operate a local Public, Educational, Governmental (PEG) cable television channel, Lake County PEG TV (Mediacom Channel 8), November 17, 2015. A new Agreement was created in 2019, supporting continued operation of the channel.

That 2019 Agreement anticipated extension of funding for operating expenses in two-year increments, provided the County and Cities continued to agree doing so served the public interest.

The attached amendment extends funding for Lake County PEG TV through June 30, 2023. It will likewise be approved by the Clearlake and Lakeport City Councils.
