Subject: Consideration of Amendment to the County of Lake COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Worksite Protocol
Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
As your Board is aware, in order to amend our COVID-19 worksite protocol, we have been awaiting CalOSHA clarification on masking in the workplace, and that guidance has come down just before the deadline for posting your agenda. The attached amendments to the protocol are significant and include:
1. Updated face coverings sections for vaccinated and unvaccinated employees
2. Added Voluntary use of Filtering N95 Facepiece Respirators
3. Updated Frequent sanitizing section for employees
4. Updated physical distancing-No barrier requirements regardless of employee vaccination status with the some exceptions
5. Updated unvaccinated employee has had close contact with person who tests positive
6. Updated vaccinated employee has had close contact with person who tests positive
7. Updated definition of fully vaccinated
8. COVID-19 Testing requirements
9. Deleted employee travel ban
10. Updated Physical Distancing / Social Distancing
11. Updated high risk employee section
12. Added Addendum XI Certification Vaccination Status
13. Added Addendum XII Voluntary Use Of Filtering Facepiece Respirators (N95) Training
