Subject: Approve Amendment to the Relocation Policy

Staff submits for your Board’s consideration minor updates to the County of Lake Relocation Policy including:
Ø Updated eligibility to Hard-to fill classifications.
Ø The distance between the new hire’s old residence and their new place of work must be at least 60 miles or greater.
Ø The new residence must be within the geographic boundaries of Lake County.
Ø Increased time to turn in expense reimbursement into the Auditor’s office from 60 days to 90 days.
Ø Added repayment authorization from final paycheck for employees that leave County employment prior to one year service.
