Subject: Adopt Resolution (a) Authorizing Entering Into a Funding Agreement with the State Water Resources Control Board and (b) Authorizing and Designating Lake County Special Districts Administrator to sign, on the behalf of CSA-21, North Lakeport Water, all Grant Related Documents for the Drought Resiliency Project.
Executive Summary:
In response to current conditions and the emergency proclamations Lake County Special Districts Administration has implemented their Drought Management Plan, beginning with Stage 1 response for all CSA customers. In addition, the District has assessed the infrastructure needs related to the drought conditions. Following the assessment the District has submitted an Urgent Drinking Water Need grant application to the State Water Resources Control (SWRCB) on behalf of County Service Area, No. 21 (CSA-21), North Lakeport Water. Grant funds will be used to modify the existing infrastructure and install new infrastructure to meet the community's future drinking water needs. Prior to entering into a funding agreement an Authorizing Resolution must be approved by the Board and submitted to the SWRCB.
