Subject: Approve the agreement between the County of Lake and North Valley Behavioral Health, LLC. for Fiscal Year 2021-22 for 2020-21 services in the amount of $329,360.00.
Executive Summary:
Attached, for your approval, is an Agreement between the County of Lake and North Valley Behavioral Health, LLC. for Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital Services and Professional Services associated with Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitalization for Fiscal Year 2021-22 for services rendered in 2020-21. North Valley Behavioral Health, LLC. provides emergency inpatient psychiatric services to clients referred to Lake County Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) who require them. These services are available in a 24-hour care, non-hospital setting to referred adults in order to focus on a program of prompt intervention, assessment, and stabilization of the individual’s psychiatric crisis/episode either voluntarily or involuntarily.
In FY 2020-21, LCBHS encountered budgetary challenges which prevented payment being issued to some contractors. These issues were resolved through a Resolution authorizing a budget transfer, approved by the Board of Supervisors in June 2020. Unfortunately, our projections for utilization of services provided by North Valley Behavioral Health did reflect the true utilization. This contract is needed to issue payment to North Valley Behavioral Health for this deficit, in the amount of $329,360.00.
