Subject: Approve Agreement between the County of Lake and SCS Field Services for Landfill Gas Collection System Operations, Monitoring, Maintenance, and Reporting; and Authorize the Chair to sign
Executive Summary:
The County, through the Public Services Department, operates the Eastlake Landfill in compliance with permits issued from a number of regulatory agencies, one of which is the Lake County Air Quality Management District (LCAQMD) for the landfill gas collection and control system. The permit requires a number of operations, monitoring, maintenance, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance.
Included for your Board’s consideration is an agreement with SCS Field Services to operate, monitor and maintain the landfill gas collection system, extraction wells, probes, and structure monitoring at the Eastlake Landfill this fiscal year. The scope of work is based on the permit requirements issued by LCAQMD.
