Subject: Approve AMENDMENT No. 1 to the agreement between the County of Lake and Manzanita House for Fiscal Year 2021-22 in the amount of $185,150.00.
Executive Summary:
Attached, for your approval, is AMENDMENT No. 1 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Manzanita House for Adult Residential Support Services and Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2021-22. Located in Nice, CA Manzanita House is one of two Board and Care facilities located within Lake County that serve adults. As they are in Lake County, clients placed at Manzanita House are actively engaged in Lake County Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) services and can participate in their Recovery Program leading to positive outcomes and a successful return to the community and independent living the least restrictive environment. Manzanita House has been proven to be a cost-effective alternative for care of clients who are ready to transition from Institutes of Mental Disease (IMDs) or have been brought back to the County from out-of-County placements. The original agreement was approved by the Board of Supervisors on May 11, 2021.
Manzanita House has requested a rate increase for FY 2021-22 which is reflected in this amendment. They are raising their rates from $75/day to $85/day. We currently have five (5) clients placed at Manzanita House. This reflects a contract increase of $21,900.
