Subject: Consideration to Approve staff recommendation to apply for grant funding from the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO)
Executive Summary:
Staff is requesting the approval of your Board to apply for a $450,000 grant from NACCHO to support project activities that prevent substance use disorder (SUD) or overdose and also have the potential to simultaneously prevent adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) within selected communities and populations of focus. The main purpose of this grant is to expand current activities. The deadline to apply is October 13, 2021. Health Services staff will be on hand to provide further details.
