Subject: Approve purchase of vehicle equipment from Precision Wireless in the amount of $65,433 from the Sheriff/Pursuit Vehicle Replacement Budget Unit 2217, Object Code 28.30; and Authorize the Sheriff/Coroner or his designee to issue a purchase order
Executive Summary: On September 1, 2021, the Sheriff's Department issued a request for quote for the purchase of pursuit equipment for seven recently ordered Ford Explorer's. Three bidders submitted bids and are as follows:
Sutter Buttes: $10,280.00
Lehr: $9,556.61
Precision Wireless $9,347.54
The bid is being awarded to Precision Wireless. Precision Wireless is a local vendor, but the 10% local vendor preference was not needed as they are already the low bidder.
Please authorize the Sheriff/Coroner or his designee to issue a purchase order in the amount of $65,433 to Precision Wireless, to be paid from the Sheriff/Pursuit Vehicle replacement budget unit 2217, object code 28.30.
