Memorandum

Date:                                          March 22, 2022

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Carol J. Huchingson, County Administrative Officer

Subject:                     Approve Revisions to Exhibit A of the Uniform and Clothing Purchase Policy

Executive Summary:

Staff is recommending revisions to Exhibit A of the Uniform and Clothing Purchase Policy which was last amended in August of 2021.

Recommended changes at this time reflect the current needs of departments and pricing increases in specified areas.

1)                     Community Development is requesting approval to provide Code Enforcement Officers, Inspectors and Planners with uniform pants.

2)                     Air Quality is requesting to change the Polo Shirt allocation from an L to a D. They are also requesting that the maximum cost for Safety Pants be increased from $125 to $180. The department needs to replace their NOMEX pants, which fall under this category, and the price increase is based on research done by the department.
