Subject: Consideration of the Award of Bid No. 22-10 for the Courthouse Roof Replacement Project in the amount of $791,000.00 to Best Contracting Services, Inc.; and authorize the Chair to sign the Agreement and Notice of Award
Executive Summary:
The County publicly opened bids for the subject project on Monday, April 25, 2022. Three (3) bids were received and the apparent lowest responsible bidder was Best Contracting Services, Inc. Please refer to the attached bid tabulation. A local workforce participation discount was included in the project specifications. No local contractors bid on the project.
The project is funded through Budget Unit 1778, Capital Projects. The total cost, to include roofing materials to be purchased through a separate CMAS contract, is within the estimate of probable costs.
