Memorandum

Date:                                          May 4, 2022

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Scott De Leon, Public Works Director

Subject:                                                               Adopt Resolution to Establish a List of Projects Proposed to be Funded in FY 2021/2022 Pursuant to the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (SB1)

Executive Summary:

The Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (SB1) provides additional funding for basic road maintenance and rehabilitation.  One-half of the funding generated from SB1 is allocated to cities and counties with the remaining 50% being retained by the State.  For FY 22/23 Lake County is expected to receive approximately $3,290,614, of which has been appropriated in the FY 2022/2023 adopted budget.

Although the adopted budget reflects this revenue estimate, actual receipt of this funding is subject to the State’s approval of a proposed project list that has been formally established pursuant to a Board adopted Resolution.  The Resolution establishes the required project list.
