Subject: Adopt Resolution Authorizing the 2022-2023 Grant Project- Lake County Victim Witness Assistance Program and Authorize the Chair to sign the Certification and Assurance of Compliance
Executive Summary:
The California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) has released the application for the Victim Witness Assistance Grant which will reimburse program costs of up to $336,442. There is no need for matching funds, as CalOES approved our request to waive 100% of the match. The 2022-2023 Grant Project will mark the 37th year that the Victim Witness Division of the Lake County District Attorney’s Office has been funded, allowing the Victim Witness Division to continue to provide services to those individuals impacted by crimes in Lake County. The grant period will run from October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023 and will pay for the majority of personnel and operating costs for the Victim Witness Division.
