Subject: a) Discussion of Sheriff's Department Staffing; and b) Consideration and approval of budget transfer from 1781 to 2202
Executive Summary: The Sheriff’s Department requests to have a discussion with your Board regarding the continuing need to place sworn deputy sheriff staff in both the Central Dispatch and Jail facilities. Sheriff Martin and his command staff will provide an update of hiring deficiencies which is causing a financial shortfall in various budgets.
Included in this discussion will be the need to transfer funds into the Central Dispatch budget in order to process payroll through fiscal year end.
