Subject: Approve Agreement Between County of Lake and the Lake County Office of Education for the Safe Schools Healthy Students Program in the Amount of $300,000.00 for Fiscal Year 2022-23 and Authorize the Board Chair to Sign.
Executive Summary:
This Agreement represents an ongoing partnership between the Lake County Office of Education and the County in the provision of specialty mental health services (SMHS) to some of the most vulnerable youth in our County. Clearlake Creativity School has been providing SMHS to students since 2011. These services are critical to ensuring students with special emotional and behavioral needs thrive and succeed. Clearlake Creativity School is one of two school sites in the County that is Medi-Cal site certified, meaning Medi-Cal reimbursable SMHS services can be provided there, the other site being Hance School.
These services are eligible for 100% reimbursement by the Medi-Cal, as they fall under the scope of Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) services.
