Subject:                     Consideration of a public statement on Lake Pillsbury and direction to staff to distribute to media outlets

 

Executive Summary:

This proposed public statement accompanies the FERC letter proposed by County Counsel involving the Potter Valley Project proceedings with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). 

 

Staff proposes a public statement on the status of Lake Pillsbury, including potential concerns regarding water supply, wildfire danger, financial costs, environmental harm, and a lack of transparency in the process.  This public statement could be provided to media outlets with a request that it be published.

 

Staff recommends your Board approve the proposed public statement for submittal to media outlets.
