Executive Summary:
Staff is requesting your Board adopt a resolution that changes the position allocation of the Administrative Office.
We are requesting to add one (1) Chief Climate Resiliency Officer allocation.
We are submitting this request to your Board now, versus waiting until you consider the Final Recommended Budget in approximately two months given the need to move forward with recruiting and hiring.
CalOES has awarded the County $636,545 in grant funds through the Prepare California Jumpstart Program to fund the Chief Climate Resiliency Officer position for five years. The grant period is from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027.
