Subject: Adopt Proclamation Recognizing Lake County AmeriCorps CivicSpark Fellows
Executive Summary:
CivicSpark is a Governor’s Initiative AmeriCorps program dedicated to building capacity for local public agencies to address community resilience issues such as climate change, water resource management, housing, and mobility. CivicSpark is a program of CivicWell.
CivicSpark has had a presence in the Lake County community since 2017 with a total of 15 CivicSpark Fellows who have served Lake County dedicating over 31,000 hours of service to our community.
The Fellows serving Lake County this year include:
- Emma Belanger with the Lake County Water Resource Department
- Kristina Linder with the Clear Lake Environmental Research Center
- Thomas Brown with the Hidden Valley Lake Community Services District
