Subject:                     Approve Continuation of a Local Emergency by the Lake County Sheriff/OES Director for the Cache Fire

 

Executive Summary:

Ratification of the Proclamation of a Local Emergency by the Lake County Sheriff/OES Director for the Cache Fire.

 

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Section 6-5 of the Lake County Code empowers the Director of Emergency Services to proclaim the existence or threatened existence of a local emergency when Lake County is affected or likely to be affected by public calamity.  Such a Proclamation shall expire seven days after issuance unless confirmed and ratified by the Lake County Board of Supervisors.   On this date, the Lake County Sheriff/OES Director has proclaimed a local health emergency for the Cache Fire and ratification by the Lake County Board of Supervisors is needed.
