Subject: Update on 2022 Drought Conditions, Clear Lake
Executive Summary:
On May 11, 2021, the Board of Supervisors passed Resolution No. 2021-55 Proclamation of Emergency Declaration for Drought Conditions. Resolution No. 2021-55 outlines reports of conditions of the emergency be presented to the Board of Supervisors for determination whether emergency conditions continue to exist. Since the Proclamations inception, and pursuant to Chapter 6, Article 1 of the Lake County Code, the Board of Supervisors continues to reconsider and re-approve the continuation of Proclamation of Emergency Declaration of Drought Conditions.
This item includes a presentation highlighting current drought conditions as California is well into its third consecutive dry year. Representatives from the Lake County Water Resources Department, Office of Emergency Services, and additional Departments will provide an update on current drought conditions, and drought response.
