Subject:                     Consideration of Request to Appoint Negotiating team for the Purchase of the Kelseyville Event Center a property located at 5245 Third Street, Kelseyville, CA (APN:  025-083-06)

 

Executive Summary:

On March 11, 2021, President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act into Law.  As a result of its passage, the County of Lake was allocated $12,506,226.00 in State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF).  The ARPA Committee has evaluated community needs and their potential fit with the intent of ARPA and the U.S. Treasury’s SLFRF guidance.  District 5 Supervisor, Jessica Pyska, brought forth purchase and remodel of the Kelseyville Senior Center for the Committee’s consideration.

 

Staff recommends designating a Negotiating Team to negotiate the terms of the purchase on behalf of your Board.  Staff recommends designating representative from the Administrative Office to include County Administrative Officer Susan Parker and Assistant County Administrative Officer Stephen Carter as your negotiating team.

 

After completing the negotiation process, the Negotiating Team will present the tentative purchase agreement for consideration and approval by the Board of Supervisors in the course of a regularly scheduled and open meeting.
