Subject: Consideration of Agreement between County of Lake and BHC Sierra Vista Hospital, INC. for Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital Services and Professional Services Associated with Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitalizations in the amount of $100,000 for Fiscal Year 2023-24.
Executive Summary:
As the County Mental Health Plan, LCBHS is responsible for the placement and payment of acute inpatient psychiatric hospital services. LCBHS works with a variety of hospital across the northern region of the state to find placement for our beneficiaries who require this level of care.
These services are largely reimbursable from Medi-Cal and MediCare, depending on the beneficiaries’ aid codes. The County match to be eligible for a claim and reimbursement of Federal Financial Participation (FFP) comes from realignment dollars.
